Abstract: Requires the governing authority of all parishes and municipalities that have
established an official website to certain information online.
Proposed law requires the governing authority of parishes and municipalities that have
established an official website for their respective parish or municipality to post online, at least
24 hours prior to any meeting, the agenda of the meeting of the governing body. Provides that
within a week following the adjournment of any meeting, the governing authority shall post
online the minutes of the meeting. The minutes shall include each motion that was made, who
made it, whether the motion passed, the vote of each member of the governing body on each
agenda item, and a link to all ordinances and resolutions that appeared on the agenda.
