Abstract: Creates the "Lung Cancer Alliance" special prestige license plate for lung cancer
awareness.
Proposed law provides for the design and creation of the Lung Cancer Alliance special prestige
license plate provided there is a minimum of 1,000 applicants.
Proposed law provides for the collection of a $50 royalty fee, as well as a handling fee of $3.50
for each plate to be retained by the Department of Public Safety and Corrections to offset a
portion of administrative costs.
Proposed law provides that monies collected by the department and forwarded to the Lung
Cancer Alliance, or its successor organization, be used solely for the support of programs
established and administered by the Lung Cancer Alliance in Louisiana.
Proposed law authorizes the secretary to promulgate rules sand regulations to implement
proposed law.
