Present law provides for the creation of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA). Further provides for the creation of a board of directors to be composed of 13 members. Present law provides that one of the members is the state superintendent of education. Proposed law replaces such member with an employee of the state Dept. of Education, appointed by the state superintendent of education; otherwise retains present law. (Amends R.S. 17:1970.24(B)(1)(a)(ii)(bb)) Summary of Amendments Adopted by House Committee Amendments Proposed by House Committee on Education to the original bill. 1.
