Requests the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE), in collaboration
with the La. Assoc. of School Superintendents, the La. School Boards Assoc., and the La.
Assoc. of Public Charter Schools, to study and explore all options for providing free
transportation to students attending charter schools and to report its findings and
recommendations to the House and Senate education committees prior to the 2015 R.S.
Provides that in conducting the study, BESE consider including such transportation costs in
the 2015-2016 minimum foundation program formula.
