ENROLLED Page 1 of 2 Regular Session, 2014 HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 9 BY REPRESENTATIVE ROBIDEAUX A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON To recognize Thursday, March 13, 2014, as Human Resource Management Day in Louisiana and to commend the members of the Louisiana Society for Human Resource Management. WHEREAS, human resource management plays a vital role in maintaining the functionality of workforces in society, and organizations rely on human resource management for not only the hiring and training of employees but for the assessment and rewarding of employees as well; and WHEREAS, the Society for Human Resource Management is the largest professional human resources association in the United States, and the Louisiana Society for Human Resource Management is a local, affiliated chapter of the association; and WHEREAS, the Louisiana Society for Human Resource Management acts as a source of information, communication, and networking to enhance knowledge and improve the services of human resource management professionals; and WHEREAS, the Louisiana Society for Human Resource Management consists of ten local chapters and seven student chapters which effectively provide services to members across the entire state of Louisiana and promote awareness of and attention to the field of human resource management; and WHEREAS, the Louisiana Society for Human Resource management serves as an important association in the state by providing a community for human resource professionals, building and sustaining partnerships, and proactively providing education and research to human resource professionals. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby recognize Thursday, March 13, 2014, as Human Resource Management Day in Louisiana ENROLLEDHCR NO. 9 Page 2 of 2 and does hereby commend the members of the Louisiana Society for Human Resource Management for their significant contributions to the citizens of Louisiana.
