successfully combined at a state-of-the-art facility in Algiers to form the L.B. Landry-5
O. Perry Walker College and Career Preparatory High School, despite a coalition of anti-6

coaching staffs and teams of athletes who, prior to the 2013-2014 school year, had been9
opponents; and10

its first regular season with a record of 35-5, which punched the team's ticket to the12

reigning Class 4A state champions, St. Thomas More, by a score of 62-50, a preview of its15
seemingly easy path to the top of Class 4A; and16
WHEREAS, the team showed the unstoppable unity it had built in its first year by17
handily knocking off the East Jefferson High School Warriors by a score of 76-56 to become18
the new Class 4A state champions; and19
WHEREAS, Landry-Wa lker guard Tyree Griffin was named the game's Most20
