HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 165
BY REPRESENTATIVE STUART BISHOP
A RESOLUTION
To commend the Ascension Episcopal School Blue Gators upon winning the 2014 Division
IV girls' tennis state championship.
WHEREAS, Ascension Episcopal School girls' tennis team completed a sensational
season, winning the regional championship on their way to earning the title of 2014 state
champions; and
WHEREAS, the championship win was their first state tennis championship in
school history and the culmination of an unforgettable season; and
WHEREAS, the members of the team, Catherine Anderson, Blair Boatright, Sophia
Boatright, Alison Burgess, Ashleigh Burgess, Julia Doucet, Morgan Fremin, and Emma
Sullivan, performed at their highest level of excellence throughout the tennis season, and
each of these Blue Gators deserves recognition for their vital contributions to the winning
effort; and
WHEREAS, the amazing accomplishments of the team could not have been achieved
without the guidance and skills of Coach Buck Bobo as well as all of the other individuals
who have contributed to the success of the school's tennis program; and
WHEREAS, the team's outstanding season lays the foundation for a glorious tradition
of the Blue Gators, and all of Ascension Episcopal School alumni and fans recognize the
immense pride and distinguished honor that the team brings to its school, community, and
state.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby commend Ascension Episcopal School girls' tennis
team upon winning the 2014 Division IV girls' tennis state championship and does hereby ENROLLEDHR NO. 165

extend best wishes to the players, Coach Buck Bobo, and everyone involved with this fine
tennis program as they celebrate their exceptional season and prepare for continued success
in the future.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this Resolution be transmitted
to Coach Buck Bobo.
