TRAFFIC: Requests the Department of Transportation and Development to study the
feasibility and practicality of placing a turning signal light in the north bound lane
on Essen Lane near the LSU Rural Life Museum
A RESOLUTION1
To urge and request the Department of Transportation and Development to study the2
feasibility and practicality of placing a turning signal light in the north bound lane3
on Essen Lane near the LSU Rural Life Museum.4
WHEREAS, Essen Lane is a heavily traveled area and the LSU Rural Life Museum5
is located near the interstate and a turning signal light may allow those going to the museum6
easier and safer access and alleviate traffic congestion.7
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the8
Legislature of Louisiana does hereby urge and request the Department of Transportation and9
Development, in consultation with the local governing authority, to study the feasibility and10
to assess the advisability of erecting a turning signal light in the north bound lane on Essen11
Lane near the LSU Rural Life Museum.12
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Transportation and13
Development complete the study on or before January 1, 2015.14
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the15
