Gallot (SB 105) Act No. 448 Prior law authorized public license tag agents to contract with the Department of Public Safety and Corrections, office of motor vehicles, to administer knowledge and skills tests to applicants for the issuance of Class "D" or "E" drivers' licenses. Prior law provided motorcycles, motor driven cycles, and motorized bicycles do not have a separate driver's license class, but their use is provided for by making an endorsement on the basic classes of drivers' licenses. New law retains prior law and adds authority for public license tag agents to administer knowledge and skills tests to applicants for the issuance of the "M" endorsement on Class "D" or "E" drivers' licenses to operate motorcycles, motor driven cycles, and motorized bicycles. Effective August 1, 2014. (Amends R.S. 47:532.1(A)(7)(b))
