Long (SB 141)
Present law allows a person or entity to enter into a cooperative endeavor agreement to withdraw
running surface water.
Present law requires that a cooperative endeavor agreement to withdraw running surface water
will have an initial term not to exceed two years. Further requires that no new cooperative
endeavor agreement can be entered into for which an application was received by DNR after
December 31, 2014.
Proposed law retains present law but extends the date for which an application can be received
from December 31, 2014, to December 31, 2016.
Present law provides that a person or entity who enters into a cooperative endeavor agreement to
withdraw running surface waters may terminate such agreement after December 31, 2014.
Proposed law retains present law but extends the termination date from December 31, 2014, to
December 31, 2016.
Effective August 1, 2014.
