Present law provides for the governing authority of the parish to appoint five citizens to serve on
the board of control of a war memorial civic center. Provides that the president of the police jury
shall be an ex officio member of the board.
Proposed law provides for the governing authority of the parish of Beauregard to appoint 10
citizens to serve on the board of control of the war memorial civic center in the town of
DeRidder.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
