Cortez (SB 173)
Proposed law provides that notwithstanding any other provision of law, rule, and regulation of
the commissioner, and the provisions of proposed law, a public tag agent shall not have a notary
public to provide notarial services on its site, shall not charge a fee of any kind for execution of
any document by a notary public deemed necessary to process a complete transaction, and shall
charge and collect only one convenience fee to process a complete transaction.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
