Authorizes the lease of certain state property in St. Martin Parish.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
Summary of Amendments Adopted by House
Committee Amendments Proposed by House Committee on Natural Resources and
Environment to the engrossed bill.
1. Removed from the bill provisions that stated that in the event an offer was made
to purchase the land leased to the Boy Scouts, the land would be offered back to
the owners from whom the property was acquired for the equivalent value paid
by the state to acquire the land.
2. Removed language referring to the transfer of the property.
3.  Required that the lease be consistent with any restrictive covenants for the use
of the property.
