LOCAL AGENCIES. Provides for legislation relative to the route designation of the Flyway
Byway in Jefferson Davis Parish. (gov sig)
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 56:1948.5(65), relative to Louisiana Byways designation; to provide for the2
route designation of the Flyway Byway in Jefferson Davis Parish, to provide for an3
effective date; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1.  R.S. 56:1948.5 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 6
ยง1948.5. Louisiana Byways designations7
The following highways and sections of highways are hereby designated as8
Louisiana Byways:9

(65) Flyway Byway: The byway corridor runs LA 99 from its intersection11
with the west bound ramps of I-10 south to its intersection with LA 14,12
including its routing through Welsh; Illinois Plant Road from the Jefferson13
Davis-Cameron Parish line north to its intersection with LA 14; LA 14 from its14
intersection with Illinois Plant Road east to the Jefferson Davis-Vermilion15
Parish line, including its routing through Lake Arthur; LA 3056 from the16
Jefferson Davis-Cameron Parish line north to its intersection with LA 14; LA17 SB NO. 189

26 from its intersection with LA 14 north to its intersection with North Frontage1
Road at the Oil and Gas Park north of I-10, including its routing through Lake2
Arthur and Jennings; and US 90 from its intersection with LA 99 in Welsh east3
to its intersection with LA 26 in Jennings including its routing through4
Roanoke. 5
Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not6
signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature7
by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana. If8
vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become9
effective on the day following such approval.10
