Provides, relative to personal financial disclosure, that assessment of a late fee for which all appeal delays have expired will become executory and enforced as a money judgment. (8/1/14) AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 42:1124.1(D), relative to personal financial disclosure; to provide for the2 assessment and collection of late fees; to provide civil proceedings to collect such3 assessment; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 42:1124.1(D) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:6 ยง1124.1. Penalties; required reports; failure to file; timely and accurate filing7 * * *8 D. When all delays for a request for waiver or appeal have expired, a9 final order of the supervisory committee or its staff or final decision of an10 adjudicatory panel of the Ethics Adjudicatory Board shall become executory11 and may be enforced as any other money judgment. The supervisory committee12 may file civil proceedings to collect such civil penalties in the district court of13 the parish in which the candidate, chairman, or treasurer of the political14 committee or other person required to file reports is domiciled. The proceedings15 shall be conducted pursuant to the relevant provisions of the Louisiana Code of16 Civil Procedure.
