Proposed law prohibits municipal and parish authorities from using any process or procedure,
other than such process or procedure as is provided for in R.S. 32:398.2, to dispose of a violation
of the speed limit on any street, road, or highway within its jurisdiction that is captured or
recorded by an electronic speed enforcement system. 
Proposed law defines "electronic vehicle speed enforcement system" as a camera or optical
device installed to work in conjunction with radar speed detection equipment and designed to
record images that depict the license plate or other identifying feature of a motor vehicle that is
not operated in compliance with the instruction of a posted speed limit sign.
Effective August 1, 2014
