ETHICS. Prohibits a parish or municipal governing authority from appointing more than
one member of any immediate family to the same board or commission. (8/1/14)
AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 42:1113(A)(1)(c), relative to the Code of Governmental Ethics; to provide2
relative to certain prohibited appointments; to prohibit certain immediate family3
members from serving on the same board or commission; and to provide for related4
matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1.  R.S.42:1113(A)(1)(c) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 7
ยง1113. Prohibited contractual arrangements; exceptions; reports8

(c) No parish or municipal governing authority shall appoint more than10
one member of any immediate family to the same board or commission.11
