AN ACT1
To enact R.S. 42:2.2, relative to boards and commissions; to provide relative to certain2
prohibited appointments; to prohibit certain immediate family members from being3
appointed to the same board or commission; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 42:2.2 is hereby enacted to read as follows:6
ยง2.2. Boards, commissions, councils, authorities, entities; immediate7
family members8
A. No appointing authority shall appoint to any board,9
commission, council, authority, or similar entity a person who is a10
member of the immediate family of a person who serves on the board,11
commission, council, authority, or similar entity at the time of the12
appointment.13
B. For purposes of this Section, "immediate family" shall have14
the same meaning as provided in R.S. 42:1102.15
