Regular Session, 2014 ENROLLED SENATE BILL NO. 253 BY SENATOR MORRISH AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 13:5722(A)(2)(d) and R.S. 15:571.11(A)(3) and to repeal R.S. 13:1000.7,2 relative to the Thirty-First Judicial District Court; to provide for an increase in3 certain criminal court costs; to provide for disposition of collections; to repeal4 nullified provisions; and to provide for related matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6 Section 1. R.S. 13:5722(A)(2)(d) is hereby enacted to read as follows:7 §5722. Coroner's Operational Fund established8 A.9 * * *10 (2)11 * * *12 (d) In criminal cases, including traffic violations, in the district court in13 Jefferson Davis Parish, a fee of not more than five dollars shall be imposed on14 every defendant who is convicted after trial or plea of guilty, which fee shall be15 used solely to defray the operational costs of the office of the coroner of the16 parish.17 * * *18 Section 2. R.S. 15:571.11(A)(3) is hereby enacted to read as follows:19 §571.11.
