Regular Session, 2014 ENROLLED SENATE BILL NO. 262 BY SENATOR NEVERS AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 33:4305 (B)(4), relative to the Washington Parish Gas Utility District No. 22 board members; to provide for a maximum amount of per diem paid to board3 members for each meeting; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for4 related matters.5 Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published.6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:7 Section 1. R.S. 33:4305 (B)(4) is hereby enacted to read as follows: 8 ยง4305. Domicile; meetings; officers; bonds; depositories; compensation; rate fixing9 * * *10 B. * * *11 (4) Notwithstanding any contrary provision of this Subsection or of any12 other provision of law, no member of the board of commissioners of13 Washington Parish Gas Utility District No. 2 shall receive a salary for the14 performance of his duties as a member. Each member may receive a per diem15 for each meeting attended, and for each day devoted to the business of the16 district. The board shall fix the amount of the per diem in an amount not to17 exceed one hundred dollars per day. A member may be reimbursed for all18 proper expenses incurred in carrying out the business of the district. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not1 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature2 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.
