CONTROL DANGER SUBSTANCE. Repeals the crime of drug-traffic loitering. (8/1/14)
AN ACT1
To repeal R.S. 40:981.4, relative to drug-traffic loitering; to repeal the crime of drug-traffic2
loitering; and to provide for related matters.3
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4
Section 1.  R.S. 40:981.4 is hereby repealed.5

Present law creates the crime of drug-traffic loitering. Provides for elements of the crime,
definitions, and penalties.
Present law was found unconstitutional by the Louisiana Supreme Court in State vs
Muschkat, 706 So. 2d 429, 96-2922 (La. 3/14/98).
Proposed law repeals present law.
Effective August 1, 2014.
