LaFleur (SB 324)
Present law allows the taking of outlaw quadrupeds, nutria and beaver at night from the
beginning of March through Aug. on private property by the landowner or his lessee or agent,
with written permission and the landowner's contact information. Requires notification to the
parish sheriff 24 hours ahead of time of the intent to do so.
Proposed law allows such hunting all year. Retains the notification requirement to the sheriff.
Effective August 1, 2014.
