Provides relative to the composition, purposes, and functions of the Department of Transportation and Development. (8/1/14) AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 36:501(B) and (C) and 507(B), relative to the Department of2 Transportation and Development; to provide for the composition, purposes, and3 functions of the department; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 36:501(B) and (C) and 507(B) are hereby amended and reenacted to6 read as follows: 7 §501. Department of Transportation and Development; creation; domicile;8 composition; purposes and functions9 * * *10 B. The Department of Transportation and Development department,11 through its offices and officers, shall be responsible for developing and12 implementing programs to assure adequate, safe, and efficient transportation and13 other public works facilities and services in the state in accordance with the transfer14 of agencies and functions made by this Chapter.
