(8/1/14) AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 22:1080, relative to third party premium payments; to provide with respect to2 insurers acceptance of third party premium payments; to require acceptance of3 premium payments from certain state, federal, or tribal programs or publicly4 supported charities; and to provide for related matters.5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6 Section 1. R.S. 22:1080 is hereby enacted to read as follows:7 ยง1080. Third party premium payments; refusal of acceptance8 A. (Adds R.S. 22:1080) Summary of Amendments Adopted by Senate Committee Amendments Proposed by Senate Committee on Insurance to the original bill. 1. Requires acceptance of premium payments from any of the following: (a)The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program pursuant to Title XXVI of the Public Health Services Act. (b)Indian tribes, tribal organizations, or urban Indian organizations. (c)State or federal government programs. (d)Publicly supported charities within the meaning of Sections 501(c)(3) and 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. 2. Makes technical changes.
