Proposed law provides for the issuance of title for a vehicle whose power train, computer, or
electrical system has sustained water damage, but does not meet the criteria for a salvaged
vehicle, or a certificate of destruction.
Proposed law requires a branded title to be issued indicating the vehicle has sustained water
damage.
Proposed law requires the Department of Public Safety and Corrections to promulgate rules
necessary to implement and enforce branded title for water damage vehicle.
Effective August 1, 2014.
