Present law creates DOTD composed of the secretary, undersecretary, deputy secretary and
assistant secretaries and such other offices and officers and divisions as may be established under
present law.
Proposed law makes technical revision. Otherwise retains present law.
Proposed law authorizes the secretary to establish districts throughout the state to plan, design,
build, operate, and maintain the state transportation system within the parishes included in each
district.
Effective on August 1, 2014.
