Present law authorizes mayor's courts in municipalities to try all violations of municipal
ordinances and to impose court costs not to exceed $30 for each offense as defined by ordinance
on any defendant convicted of a violation of a municipal ordinance.
Proposed law retains present law and further authorizes the mayor of the town of Rosepine to
impose an additional court cost not to exceed $30 for each offense as defined by ordinance on
any defendant convicted of a violation of a municipal ordinance.
Effective August 1, 2014.
