Amends frequency of reporting prescription dispensing of certain substances to the state prescription monitoring board. (8/1/14) AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 40:1006(B), relative to the reporting of prescription monitoring2 information; to provide for reporting at a frequency to be determined by the3 Louisiana Board of Pharmacy; and to provide for related matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 40:1006(B) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6 ยง1006. Reporting of prescription monitoring information7 * * *8 B. Each dispenser shall submit the required information in accordance with9 transmission methods and frequency established by the board. Present law provides that information on the prescribing of certain controlled dangerous substances shall be reported no longer than seven days after the date of dispensing. Proposed law deletes the provision regarding seven days and leaves in tact the provision that such reporting shall be at the frequency determined by the La. Board of Pharmacy.
