AN ACT1
To amend and reenact R.S. 40:1006(B), relative to the reporting of prescription monitoring2
information; to provide for reporting at a frequency to be determined by the3
Louisiana Board of Pharmacy; and to provide for related matters.4
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5
Section 1. R.S. 40:1006(B) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6

B. Each dispenser shall submit the required information in accordance with9
transmission methods and frequency established by the board. Each eligible10
prescription transaction shall be reported as soon as possible but in no event more11
than seven days no later than the next business day after the date of dispensing.12
