Regular Session, 2014 SENATE BILL NO. 589 BY SENATOR WALSWORTH CHILDREN. Extends the termination date of the Children's Cabinet. (gov sig) AN ACT1 To amend and reenact R.S. 46:2607, relative to the Children's Cabinet; to provide relative2 to the termination date; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for related3 matters.4 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:5 Section 1. R.S. 46:2607 is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 6 ยง2607. Termination7 The existence of the Children's Cabinet shall terminate, all legal authority8 therefor shall cease, and this Chapter shall be repealed on August 15, 2014 2018.9 Section 2. This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not10 signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature11 by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.
