Present law provides for six members to serve as the board of commissioners of the Oak Island
Neighborhood Improvement District.
Proposed law increased the membership of the board to seven and adds the president of the
association to the board.
Present law prohibits commissioners of the Oak Island Neighborhood Improvement District to
serve as members of the Oak Island Neighborhood Association board of directors.
Proposed law provides for the president of the Oak Island Neighborhood Association or his
designee to serve as a member of the board of commissioners of the Oak Island Neighborhood
Improvement District.
Proposed law provides for the president of the Oak Island Neighborhood Association or his
designee to serve during the president's term of office.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
