VOTERS/VOTING.  Removes prohibihition of recognition of an Independent party. (1/1/15)
AN ACT1
To repeal R.S. 18:441(B)(4), relative to the Louisiana Election Code; to provide for2
recognition of certain political parties; and to provide for related matters.3
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4
Section 1.  R.S. 18:441(B)(4) is hereby repealed in its entirety.5
Section 2. This Act shall become effective on January 1, 2015; if vetoed by the6
governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on7
January 1, 2015, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.8
