COMMERCIAL REGULATIONS.  Provides relative to marine products. (8/1/14)
AN ACT1
To repeal R.S. 32:1270.1(1)(j), relative to marine products; to repeal certain provisions2
relative to unauthorized acts of a manufacturer, a distributor, a wholesaler,3
distributor branch, or factory branch of marine products or any officer, agent or4
representative thereof; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1.  R.S. 32:1270.1(1)(j) is hereby repealed. 7

Present law provides for the regulations of marine products by the La. Motor Vehicle
Commission.
Present law provides that it is a violation for a manufacturer, a distributor, a wholesaler,
distributor branch, or facility branch of marine products or any officer, agent, or
representative thereof to fail to compensate its marine dealers for the work and services that
are required to be performed in connection with the marine dealer's delivery and preparation
of obligations according to the terms of compensation that shall be filed with the
commission on or before October first of each year.  The commission shall find the
compensation to be reasonable or the manufacturer shall remedy any deficiencies.
