Present law provides that one member of the New Iberia Municipal Government Employees
Civil Service Board is to be appointed by the employees for the Department of Public Works and
Park and Recreation Department of the City of New Iberia.
Proposed law requires that the member appointed to the Municipal Government Employees Civil
Service Board shall be an employee of the city of New Iberia.
Effective upon signature of the governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
