Provides relative to the minimum disinfectant residual levels of free or total chlorine throughout public water systems. (8/1/14) AN ACT1 To enact R.S. 40:4.15, relative to public water systems; to provide with respect to certain2 disinfectant levels; to provide for an annual report; and to provide for related matters.3 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:4 Section 1. R.S. 40:4.15 is hereby enacted to read as follows: 5 ยง4.15. Minimum disinfectant residual level of free or total chlorine throughout6 public water systems; rules and regulations; reporting7 A. The Department of Health and Hospitals, office of public health, shall8 promulgate rules and regulations pursuant to the Administrative Procedure Act9 that require a public water system to maintain a minimum disinfectant level of10 at least 0.1 parts per million of free or total chlorine in the water being delivered11 to the distribution system, in finished water storage tanks, and in all points of12 the distribution.13 B.
