SENATE BILL NO. 95
BY SENATOR LAFLEUR 
MOVABLE PROPERTY. Provides that data or information compiled or stored in digital
or analog electronic form are incorporeal movables. (8/1/14)
AN ACT1
To enact Civil Code Art. 473.1, relative to movable property; to provide relative to certain2
incorporeal movable property; to provide that data or information compiled or stored3
and maintained in digital or analog electronic form or format shall be an incorporeal4
movable; and to provide for related matters.5
Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:6
Section 1.  Civil Code Art. 473.1 is hereby enacted to read as follows:7
Article 473.1.  Digital movables8
Data or information compiled or stored and maintained in digital or9
analog electronic form or format are incorporeal movables.10
