Provides the following diseases/conditions shall be reported to the Department of Health and
Hospitals (DHH), office of public health, by the end of the workweek after the existence of a
case, suspected case, or a positive laboratory result is known:
(1)Cancer.
(2)Monoxide exposure and/or poisoning.
(3)Complications of abortion.
(4)Congenital hypothyroidism.
(5)Galactosemia.
(6)Heavy metal (arsenic, cadmium, mercury) exposure and/or poisoning (All Ages).
(7)Hemophilia.
(8)Lead exposure and/or poisoning (children); (adults).
(9)Pesticide-related illness or injury (all ages).
(10)Phenylketonuria.
(11)Reye's Syndrome.
(12) Severe traumatic head injury.
(13)Severe under nutrition (severe anemia, failure to thrive).
(14)Sickle cell disease (newborns).
(15)Spinal cord injury.
(16)Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
Adds Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) to the list of diseases/conditions that shall be reported to
DHH. Makes technical changes.
Directs the La. Register to print the amendments in the La. Administrative Code.
