SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON NO. 77
BY SENATOR ALLAIN 
ROADS/HIGHWAYS.  Requests DOTD and DOAF to identify and mark farm to market
highways in Louisiana.
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTI ON1
To urge and request the Department of Transportation and Development and the Department2
of Agriculture and Forestry to cooperate with the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation,3
Inc., to identify and mark farm to market highways in Louisiana.4
WHEREAS, agriculture is the backbone of Louisiana's economy; and 5
WHEREAS, the agricultural industry contributes significantly to Louisiana's6
economy and has the potential to contribute even more economic benefits and job creation;7
and8
WHEREAS, other states, notably Texas, identify and mark farm to market highways;9
and 10
WHEREAS, identifying and marking Louisiana's farm to market highways would11
benefit the agricultural industry.12
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby13
urge and request the Department of Transportation and Development and the Department14
of Agriculture and Forestry to cooperate with the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation, Inc.,15
to identify and mark farm to market highways in Louisiana.16
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to17
secretary of the Department of Transportation and Development, the commissioner of the18 SCR NO. 77

Department of Agriculture and Forestry, and the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation, Inc.1
