SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 154

COMMENDATIONS. Commends City of DiRidder Councilman Robert "Bo" Rice for
dedicated public service.
A RESOLUTION1
To commend and congratulate Robert "Bo" Rice, City of DeRidder District 1 Councilman2
for his dedicated public service.3
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to commend Robert "Bo" Rice for his service as a4
council member of the city of DeRidder and to recognize him for his dedication to public5
service; and6
WHEREAS, Robert "Bo" Rice has served the city of DeRidder as District 17
Councilman since 2006; and8
WHEREAS, Bo was born in 1964, the son of Dorothy and Walter Rice, graduated9
from DeRidder High School in 1983, and attended McNeese State University; and10
WHEREAS, he is married to Sheila Rice and they have five children: Al'isa, Robin,11
Dominique, Jasmine, and Robert Jr.; and12
WHEREAS, a very active member of the City Council, he will leave public service13
with the end of his current term on June 30, 2014; and14
WHEREAS, Robert ""Bo" Rice merits a special measure of commendation for the15
tremendous pride and honor that he brings to his family, friends, and community, the city16
of DeRidder, and the state of Louisiana.17
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana18 SR NO. 154

does hereby commend and congratulate Robert "Bo" Rice, City of DeRidder District 11
Councilman, for his dedication, does hereby recognize and record for posterity his2
accomplishments and contributions to his community, and does hereby extend best wishes3
for his continued success and happiness in the years to come.4
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to5
Robert "Bo" Rice.6
