SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 63
BY SENATOR PETERSON 
COMMENDATIONS.  Commends Celton Hayden Jr. and CC's Coffee House for the
contributions it makes to the state of Louisiana.
A RESOLUTION1
To commend Celton Hayden Jr. and CC's Coffee House for the contributions it makes to the2
state of Louisiana.3
WHEREAS, since 1995, when CC's Coffee House first opened its doors on Magazine4
Street in the heart of New Orleans, it has preserved the time-honored tradition of bringing5
people together over a delicious cup of coffee; and6
WHEREAS, CC's only brews their own speciality blends made from the highest7
quality beans in the world; and8
WHEREAS, they have consistently been voted the favorite coffee house in all core9
markets for ten years running; and10
WHEREAS, in a rich tradition of Southern hospitality and quality products, CC's11
puts love into every expertly crafted cup of coffee and welcomes their patrons to a warm12
surrounding with a familiar smile; and13
WHEREAS, CC's doesn't just make coffee, but they craft experiences; and14
WHEREAS, CC's was formally operated as Community Coffee, but is now operating15
as CC's Coffee House under the leadership of president Celton Hayden Jr.; and16
WHEREAS, as a teenage grocery bagger, Celton Hayden Jr. never imagined that he17
would one day become the president of the leading speciality coffee house in southeast18 SR NO. 63

WHEREAS, throughout his thirteen years of working at CC's Coffee House, Hayden2
has served as general manager of retail operations and was named president of the company3
in 2013; and 4
WHEREAS, he believes that the strong foundation provided by his parents,5
combined with constant love and encouragement from his wife, Dana, made him into the6
servant leader and practical visionary that he is today; and7
WHEREAS, CC's has a unique licensing concept in which quality operators are8
awarded agreements to open new locations; and9
WHEREAS, though these stores are independently owned and operated, they deliver10
the same selection of classic beverages and great service that CC's is known for; and11
WHEREAS, with more than thirty locations and seven hundred employees12
throughout Louisiana, CC's embarks on a journey to provide the very best coffee and13
concept to an eagerly waiting America; and 14
WHEREAS, CC's is all about getting people together and enjoying each other's15
company by weaving a fabric of positive relationships and experiences that stretch from their16
coffee houses, out into the world.17
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana18
does hereby commend Celton Hayden Jr. and CC's Coffee House for the contributions it19
makes to the state of Louisiana.20
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to21
Celton Hayden Jr., president of CC's Coffee House.22
