SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 76

A RESOLUTION
To express the sincere condolences of the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana upon the
death of Randy Dale Lamana, East Baton Rouge Parish School Board member.
WHEREAS, it is with deep regret and profound sorrow that the citizens of Louisiana
and East Baton Rouge Parish have learned of the untimely death of Randy Dale Lamana on
April 16, 2014; and
WHEREAS, Randy Dale Lamana was born on October 22, 1956, to Sam and
Catherine Cali Lamana, was a 1974 graduate of Baton Rouge High School, and was the
owner of Three B Services; and
WHEREAS, since October 2007, he was an elected member of the East Baton Rouge
Parish School Board representing District 11, which includes the areas of Northeast
Elementary School, Northeast High School, and Twins Oaks Elementary School; and
WHEREAS, he is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, Tammy Graves Lamana;
three daughters and sons-in-law, Brandi and Josh Conrad, Brooke and Mike Thornton,
Brittany and Jeremy Michelli; five grandchildren, Clayton Thornton, Jace, Trae and Beau
Conrad and Bailynne Michelli; four brothers, John, Donald, Daryl and Keith Lamana; as
well as a host of nieces and nephews; and
WHEREAS, the passing of Randy Dale Lamana has left a tremendous void and has
created a genuine sense of sorrow in those individuals who mourn the loss of this dedicated
public servant and man whose memory shall forever remain alive in their hearts and minds.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby express sincere and heartfelt condolences upon the death of Randy Dale
Lamana, and does hereby extend posthumous honor and recognition to him for his legacy
which is marked by the pride and honor that he will forever bring to his family, friends,
community, East Baton Rouge Parish School System, and state.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to
Tammy Graves Lamana.
