HOUSE BILL NO. 125
BY REPRESENTATIVE FANNIN AND SENATOR THOMPSON
1	AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 47:302.16(B), relative to the Winn Parish Tourism Fund; to
3 change the authorized uses of monies in the fund; to change the recipients of the
4 monies from the fund; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for related
5 matters.
6	Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published
7	as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of
8	Louisiana.
9 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
10 Section 1.  R.S. 47:302.16(B) is hereby amended and reenacted  to read as follows: 
11 ยง302.16.  Disposition of certain collections in Winn Parish

13	B.  Eighty percent of the The monies in the Winn Parish Tourism Fund shall
14 be appropriated each fiscal year by the legislature to the Winnfield Museum Board.
15 Greater Winn Parish Development Corporation for the Louisiana Political Museum
16 and Hall of Fame and twenty percent shall be appropriated to the Winn Chamber of
17 Commerce and Tourism to support tourism and economic development in Winn
18 Parish.  All unexpended and unencumbered monies in the fund shall remain in the
19 fund.  The monies in the fund shall be invested by the treasurer in the same manner
20 as the monies in the state general fund, and all interest earned shall be deposited into
21 the fund.

1 Section 2.  This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2015; if vetoed by the governor
2 and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
3 2015, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
