HOUSE BILL NO. 127
BY REPRESENTATIVE PRICE
1	AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 47:332.23(B), relative to the St. James Parish Enterprise Fund;
3 to specify the recipient of monies from the fund; to provide for use of monies
4 appropriated from the fund; to provide for an effective date; and to provide for
5 related matters.
6	Notice of intention to introduce this Act has been published
7	as provided by Article III, Section 13 of the Constitution of
8	Louisiana.
9 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
10 Section 1.  R.S. 47:332.23(B) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows: 
11 ยง332.23.  Disposition of certain collections in St. James Parish
12	*          *          *
13	B.  The monies in the St. James Parish Enterprise Fund shall be subject to an
14 annual appropriation by the legislature.  The monies in the fund shall be available for
15 use by the governing authority of St. James Parish exclusively to promote tourism
16 and economic development-related activities and for acquisition of land and
17 acquisition, and/or construction, maintenance, and repair of buildings and parking
18 areas for use as for the St. James Convention Facility or the St. James Parish Tourist
19 Information Welcome Center, and other multipurpose buildings, including an
20 agricultural arena and farmer's market.

1 Section 2.  This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2015; if vetoed by the governor
2 and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
3 2015, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
