HOUSE BILL NO. 16

APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT:  Appropriates funds for payment of judgment against 
DOTD in the matter of "Christina C. Spurlock and Ray Spurlock v. Travelers
Property Casualty Company of America, Inc., et al"
1	AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2015-
3 2016 to be used to pay the consent judgment against the Department of
4 Transportation and Development in the suit entitled "Christina C. Spurlock and Ray
5 Spurlock v. Travelers Property Casualty Company of America, Inc., et al"; and to
6 provide for related matters.
7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1.  The sum of Sixty-five Thousand Four Hundred Sixteen ($65,416.00)
9Dollars is hereby appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal
10Year 2015-2016 to be used to pay the consent judgment against the Department of
11Transportation and Development in the suit entitled "Christina C. Spurlock and Ray
12Spurlock v. Travelers Property Casualty Company of America, Inc., et al", bearing Number
1339,243 on the docket of the Second Judicial District Court, parish of Claiborne, state of
14Louisiana.
15 Section 2.  This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2015; if vetoed by the governor
16and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
172015, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
