HOUSE BILL NO. 172

APPROPRIATIONS/JUDGMENT:  Appropriates funds for payment of judgment in the
matter of "Kirk Waters and Deborah Waters v. United Fire & Casualty, Acme Glass
& Mirror Co., Inc., and State of Louisiana Department of Transportation and
Development"
1	AN ACT
2To appropriate funds out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2015-
3 2016 to be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Kirk Waters and
4 Deborah Waters v. United Fire & Casualty, Acme Glass & Mirror Co., Inc., and
5 State of Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development"; and to provide
6 for related matters.
7Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
8 Section 1.  The sum of Ten Thousand and No/100 ($10,000) Dollars is hereby
9appropriated out of the General Fund of the state of Louisiana for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 to
10be used to pay the consent judgment in the suit entitled "Kirk Waters and Deborah Waters
11v. United Fire & Casualty, Acme Glass & Mirror Co., Inc., and State of Louisiana
12Department of Transportation and Development", bearing Number 52,872 on the docket of
13the 3
rd
 Judicial District Court, parish of Lincoln, state of Louisiana.
14 Section 2.  This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2015; if vetoed by the governor
15and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become effective on July 1,
162015, or on the day following such approval by the legislature, whichever is later.
