Abstract: Requires the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District execute an act evidencing the transfer of
property to the Terrebonne Levee and Conservation District.
Present law provides that all land, including mineral rights, in the possession of the Atchafalaya
Basin Levee District in Terrebonne Parish for the purposes of ownership and maintenance and
operation of the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District be transferred to the Terrebonne Levee and
Conservation District.
Proposed law retains present law and requires the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District execute an act
evidencing the transfer provided for in present law.
Effective upon signature of governor or lapse of time for gubernatorial action.
