1 AN ACT
2 To amend and reenact R.S. 22:1551(C)(1), relative to renewal of an insurance producer
3 license; to provide for an exemption from examination for renewal of a resident
4 producer license when application is made within two years of the date of expiration
5 of the previous license; and to provide for related matters.
6 Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1. R.S. 22:1551(C)(1) is hereby amended and reenacted to read as follows:
8 ยง1551. Exemption from examination

10 C. The following resident applicants shall be exempt from the requirement
11 of an examination:
12 (1) Any applicant for a license covering the same line or lines of insurance
13 for which the applicant was licensed under a similar license in this state, other than
14 a temporary license, within five two years from the date of expiration of the previous
15 license, unless such previous license was revoked or suspended or renewal was
16 refused by the commissioner.
