ENVIRONMENT/LITTERING:  Removes certain exceptions to prohibitions against
littering
1	AN ACT
2To repeal R.S. 30:2531(I), relative to litter abatement; to provide for the prohibition of
3 littering; to remove exceptions from littering; and to provide for related matters.
4Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
5 Section 1.  R.S. 30:2531(I) is hereby repealed in its entirety.

Abstract:  Removes the collection and transportation of solid waste exception from
intentional and simple littering.
Present law prohibits the intentional and simple disposal of litter and prohibits allowing the
disposal of litter on public or private property or on the waters of the state.
Present law provides for an exception from the intentional and simple littering prohibitions
for duly licensed and properly covered commercial vehicles in the course of collecting and
transporting solid wastes.
Proposed law removes the exception in present law.
