PROPERTY:  Authorizes the transfer of certain state property in Calcasieu Parish
1	AN ACT
2To authorize and provide for the transfer of certain state property; to authorize the transfer
3 of certain state property in Calcasieu Parish; to provide for the property description;
4 to provide for reservation of mineral rights; to provide terms and conditions; to
5 provide an effective date; and to provide for related matters.
6Be it enacted by the Legislature of Louisiana:
7 Section 1.  The secretary of the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism,
8notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, is hereby authorized and
9empowered to convey, transfer, assign, lease, or deliver any interest the state may have to
10all or any portion of the following described parcel of property to the Department of
11Transportation and Development:
12	Legal Description
13 PARCEL NO. 1-1:
14 From a point on the centerline of State Project No. H.007939, at Station 105+50.00,
15 proceed N26°16'31"E a distance of 60.00 feet to the point of beginning; thence
16 proceed N82°43'39"E a distance of 92.51 feet to a point and corner; thence proceed
17 along a curve to the right having a radius of 7550.00 feet, whose length is 233.06 feet
18 and whose chord length is 233.06 feet and bears S61°16'04"E to a point and corner;
19 thence proceed S01°28'20"W a distance of 52.50 feet to a point and corner; thence
20 proceed N55°01'59"W a distance of 97.19 feet to a point and corner; thence proceed

1 along a curve to the left having a radius of 1493.55 feet, whose length is 246.87 feet
2 and whose chord length is 246.59 feet and bears N60°44'28"W to the point of
3 beginning.  All of which comprises Parcel 1-1 as shown on Sheet 1 of the Right of
4 Way Plans of State Project No. H.007939, and contains an area of 9888 square feet
5 or 0.227 acres.
6 Section 2.  The secretary of the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism is
7hereby authorized to enter into such agreements, covenants, conditions, and stipulations and
8to execute such documents as necessary to properly effectuate any conveyance, transfer,
9assignment, lease, or delivery of title to the property described in Section 1 of this Act, and
10as more specifically described in any such agreements entered into and documents executed
11by the secretary of the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism and the secretary of
12the Department of Transportation and Development, in exchange of consideration
13proportionate to the appraised value of the property.
14 Section 3.  This Act shall become effective upon signature by the governor or, if not
15signed by the governor, upon expiration of the time for bills to become law without signature
16by the governor, as provided by Article III, Section 18 of the Constitution of Louisiana.  If
17vetoed by the governor and subsequently approved by the legislature, this Act shall become
18effective on the day following such approval.
