RÉSUMÉ DIGEST ACT 60 (HB 201) 2015 Regular Session Montoucet Existing law provides that the governing authority of any parish may form and create a tourist commission. Specifically creates certain tourist commissions including the Acadia Parish Convention and Visitors Commission. Existing law provides that, unless otherwise provided, a commission shall be governed by a board of seven directors to be appointed by the governing authority of the parish. New law provides for an exception for the Acadia Parish Convention and Visitors Commission, which shall be governed by a board of 11 directors. Effective August 1, 2015. (Adds R.S. 33:4574(F)(9))
